Position Description
Performs varied and complex administrative duties in the management and coordination of a large specialized project and/or program. Requires independent judgment and application of established policies and procedures. Works under general supervision with evaluation based on overall results obtained.
Major/Essential Functions
- Administer financial aid pertaining to law students.
- Meet with students and families to discuss financial aid awards and options.
- Provide quality customer service for student financial aid within the law school.
- Counsel and award Law School Foundation scholarships.
- Process professional judgement applications.
- Administer adjustments to student financial aid awards in an effort to maintain compliance with federal and state programs.
- Collaborate in gathering and analyzing awarded financial aid data for annual questionnaires at the law school, including the American Bar Association Questionnaire and the U.S. News and World Report Survey.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in the area of specialization or closely related field. Three years of related administrative and technical experience. Additional job related education may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree
- Prior Banner experience or a similar ERP solution
- Prior supervisory and staff development experience.
- Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies.
- Knowledge of financial aid leveraging methods and business processes.
- Thorough understanding of federal and state aid rules and regulations.
- Knowledge of USDE systems including COD, CPS/FPS, NSLDS, SAIG Enrollment, etc.
